HISTORY

After the Titans of Myth were banished from Earth by the Olympian Gods, the powerless Titans finally settled on the dead moon which they later christened New Chronus in memory of their fallen leader and brother. New Chronus orbited the planet Synriannaq, and the Titans now sought to restore their former glory and power through worship. But by revealing themselves and meddling in the affairs of mortals, the Titans planted the seed of destruction for the civilization of Syriannaq. Wars nearly destroyed the planet, and there were not enough worshipers to sustain the gods, whose powers waned over the next 3,000 years.

No longer able to bear children, the gods sought to preserve their legacy by adopting a new generation of Titans from other worlds. Rhea, the wife of dead Chronus, expended her last energies in order to find twelve children who were either unwanted, alone or about to die, and bring them to New Chronus, where they were raised as gods and named after the great cities of Antiquity. Their training complete, the 'Titan Seeds' were returned to their homeworlds and their memories were erased in order for the seeds to learn the ways of their respective cultures. Upon reaching adulthood, the memories of New Chronus were to return and the seeds would take their places among the Titans (and somehow re-energize the pantheon by forming 'trinities').

Unfortunately, the brainwashing did not work on Sparta of Synriannaq. Not mature enough to handle the power and the responsibilities, the memories of New Chronus drove Sparta mad. Conquering her home planet Synriannaq, Sparta then decided to eliminate any future threats towards herself by killing her fellow Titan Seeds, one by one. The Titan Phoebe eventually sacrificed her life in order to try and warn the three final seeds, among them Troy, now a superheroine on Earth under the name Wonder Girl. With the help of her teammates in the New Titans, Wonder Girl located the final two seeds, Xanthi of Ozyron and Athyns of Karakann, and defeated Sparta. Xanthi died on the battlefield, while Sparta's mind was completely erased. The Titans of Myth were restored to their former glory and endowed Wonder Girl with new powers, which later prompted her to change her superhero alias to Troia. Athyns, having seen his own world destroyed in the conflict, decided to serve and protect the people of Ozyron in honor of his friend Xanthi. With him, he brought his former lover Sparta in order to care for and nurture her back to health.
