HISTORY

Dean Farr and his twin brother Desmond grew up with a strange psychic relationship - whenever Dean felt pain, Desmond would too. As an adult, Dean went on an expedition to investigate the Valley of Tiger-Men in India. Taking an ancient "tiger" potion by mistake, Dean was transformed into a mindless, feral beast. His brother Desmond, by their psychic link, realized that the Tiger-Man was his brother and took the potion himself to transform himself into a second tiger-beast, albeit with his human mind intact. Desmond managed to stop Dean, in the process curing him from the Tiger Man effect and breaking their psychic link.

Years later, Dean and Desmond went off on an adventure where Dean was killed in an accident. The effect of the tiger potion resurfaced and Desmond was transformed into a twice-as-strong Tiger-Man. (See Tiger-Man II.)
