Also, if you could take a look at: Template talk:Collected Edition.

Which one's correct?

For LSH characters, with three (SW6 will make four) versions of a said character, I will differentiate the later versions as Earth-247, Earth-Prime, SW6 but are the originals "Pre-Crisis" "Historical" "Original" "Classic"? Pre-New 52 they were back to "Canon"
Similar deal with non-LSH characters. I can understand Doug setting up profiles for Gold/Silver/"current" versions to set up the Chronologies.. should we do something for these profiles, since some of the Silver Age first appearances as given as the Golden Age first appearance? --DRMOUSE2814 19:15, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Locations field on the comic index. I've been trying to add these to the new indexing I've been doing... somewhat to some of the stuff already on file. Working out some of the bugs while on GL, but re-reading/indexing from a collected edition isn't always a great idea.
How can I put up covers for the Release Date on New 52 guide -(for example) -- BatDog2814 29 January 2014
OLD STUFF (I'll start deleting some)
What is considered the name of the comic, the name as it appears on the cover page, or the indicia? I'm looking to update Amethyst, which started with the min-series Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld then an annual prior to the next, ongoing series Amethyst (Princess of Gemworld on cover only, a special and finally another mini-series Amethyst which I'd think would be Vol. 2. --DRMOUSE2814 21:09, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Most secondary sources (Overstreet, The Comics Journal, even that other wiki etc.) take the indicia as the "real names", but do note variant cover titles. --FrankFlynn61 10:07, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- I went with how it's handled in the Grand Comics Database. I figured since I use them to help identify credits, might as well follow on the titles, at least to a degree. How I store my comics at home may be a different animal altogether. :) --DRMOUSE2814 18:23, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
A few Legion of Three Worlds type questions.
Since the LSH has had three versions, each with a respectable amount of history, how should the Earth-247 and Earth-Prime versions be best presented? I'm sticking with the separate profiles for most, with the exception of tech, planets and alien race files which will eventually make mention of which universe applies to which.
Shoud the Earth-designate appear in the name field, example COSMIC BOY (Rokk Krinn) (Earth-247) or keep the Earth off and just go with names?
For characters such as Polar Boy or White Witch of Earth-Prime, I have not come across their real names. Should I assume from the pre-Flashpoint, original versions, or just leave as the codename & Earth-Prime?
In the First Appearance, I'm presenting it similar to below...
DO NOT USE (working on different format): (historical): Adventure Comics #247 (April 1958) (Earth-Prime version): Teen Titans/Legion Special #1/2 (November 2004) Creators: Otto Binder and Al Plastino; (Earth-Prime version): Mark Waid and Barry Kitson
...but should it be historical or original? I'm getting rid of "current" version, using Earth-247 or Earth-Prime instead.
Finally for credits, should it be (VERSION) CREATIVE TEAM or CREATIVE TEAM (VERSION)?--DRMOUSE2814 03:19, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Wish list time: For profiles, some designation if the character is an alternate Earth character, also a Comments field..--DRMOUSE2814 19:24, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Tense.... in reading/writing profiles, the "later on... still later... much later... even later than THAT..." OR "recently...." (even though the story may be 6+ years old) bugs me. Any ideas for a style guide to help keep us from being the La Brea tar pit equivalent of Who's Who? I like the in-universe style of the Guide as opposed to the "it's just a comic book" feel of Wikipedia, so some way to keep it like that would be ideal. --DRMOUSE2814 19:22, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
