OVERVIEW

Homeworld of Teen Titan Starfire. Gravity is 0.86, rotation in 1.3 days, revolving around Vega every 35 years when comparing to Earth standard. Tamaran was destroyed in New Titans #128 (December 1995).

HISTORY

Tamaran was a lush, verdant planet in the Vegan system. It was home to a golden-skinned humanoid race – evolved from a feline ancestral line - of which Starfire and Blackfire are members. Almost all individuals from this race can fly though a form of in-built solar power.

Their home planet was destroyed; and then the planet they adopted, New Tamaran, was destroyed by the Sun-Eater. Later they attempted to take over the planet of their enemies, the Gordanians, by force. They eventually agreed to use diplomatic means, and not long after the two races had begun to co-exist, this planet was itself destroyed by Imperiex.
