HISTORY

In 1905, scientist Alex Olsen was killed in an explosion arranged by his colleague Damien Ridge, and buried in the swamp of Louisiana. Olsen's mind formed the first Plant Elemental to be called the Swamp Thing, and walked the Earth until taking root with the Parliament of Trees in the Amazonan rainforest. Being the last Parliament member with the ability to speak, this Swamp Thing served as the messenger to the outside world. He was recently destroyed by the Word (I), along with most of the Parliament.
