OVERVIEW
Drinking the soda-pop known as Gingold to gain the ability to stretch his body, Tom Longacre began his career as the super-hero Stretch in the 1940s, and he claims to have preceded not only the Elongated Man, but Plastic Man as well. Today, Stretch's body is a bit stiffer. He is currently senior member of Hero Hotline, the 24/7 super-hero organization that targets everyday problems. Stretch was once married to a woman named Selma. He claims to be good friends with several Golden Age heroes, and godfather to Johnny Quick's children. His daughter Ellie Longacre is Hero Hotline's lawyer.
