HISTORY

Slugger Dunn was a confidant of Rod Reilly, the first Firebrand, in the 1940s. Both Rod and Slugger joined the US Navy during the War and were stationed at Pearl Harbor, where they both were injured in the Japanese attack in 1941. After the injury, Slugger revealed Rod's secret identity to Reilly's sister, Danette, who then decided to become the second Firebrand.
