HISTORY
The Silver Twist is a mysterious cosmic phenomenon that members of the Green Lantern Corps are taught about during their training. Sightings are rare and little is known about the Twist. It can appear anywhere, at any time, and it is not known who create it or for what purpose.[1]
It appeared twice in Space Sector 2814, in the vicinity of Earth. Each time, Earth's Green Lantern Hal Jordan along with fellow hero Green Arrow entered the Twist in pursuit of a criminal. Those that enter the Twist travel to what may be best described as alternate realities.
The first interaction involved Sinestro which led the trio into a world reminiscent of England in the Middle Ages though the would-be rulers possessed advanced technology including spacecraft.[2] The second, in pursuit of Borch, a self described "reality hopper," brought the travelers to "Coyote Gulch," resembling America's Old West. In this world, Green Lantern's symbol was recognized as that of a lawman. Additionally, his ring could only release blasts of energy.[3]
After an unspecified period of time, the Silver Twist will reappear to take the travelers back to their home realities.
SPECIFICATIONS
Measurements of the Silver Twist are not available. The Twist has only been encountered in space, it is not known if it can appear within a planetary atmosphere.
