HISTORY

Shift is a piece of Rex Mason, Metamorpho, that somehow gained sentience and believed it was Metamorpho, only with large gaps in his memory. After learning "his" true nature, and taking the name 'Rufus', this Metamorpho has elected to stay with the super-hero group the Outsiders. Here. He has discovered that his abilities differ from those of the original hero, in that he can mold his body into any chemical, not just those present in the human body. While serving with the Outsiders, he has begun a romance with the cybernetic life-form Indigo.
