HISTORY

An alien known to be millions of years old, Sarva traversed the stars like other members of its species. Twenty million years ago it befriended a species known as the I'Awa, aiding them, protecting them from disasters. Sarva's acts were taken as miracles. The day came when a massive solar eruption threatened the death of the I'Awa, a disaster that even Sarva could not prevent. It considered relocating the species to another world but believed the I'awas would be terrified on a new world. Instead Sarva made them sleep before leaving so the I'Awa would not see the end of their world.

In the present day, Sarva was alone in the cosmos, the last of its race. Sarva found by Superman and brought to Earth as a friend to live out its last centuries in peace in the Fortress of Solitude. A kindred spirit, Sarva has taught Superman many things about life throughout the galaxy with is words and holo-images. -Action Comics #900/3
