Synopsis: - Runaway kid Candy Gennaro finds herself in the midst of a battle between the JLA, Kobra and the followers of Lady Eve in San Diego and is accidentally trapped inside Kobra’s underground headquarters. When she encounters a gem called "the Serpent's Egg" which Kobra has stolen, she takes possession of it (or is it the Egg that possesses her?) and gains superpowers. The scared girl defeats most of Kobra's army single-handedly, then flees from the scene. Hunted by Kobra, Candy is unsure what to do next, with herself and her newfound abilities...
