HISTORY

Mitchell Black was a surgeon who performed a risky operation to cure a child from a defect in the pulmonary system, even though the child's parents had religious objections to it. The child died and Mitch lost his medical license. He was recruited by the Peacemaker Project to serve as the head of their Enforcement Division. After joining the super-hero team called the L.A.W. in their battle against the Avatar, Mitchell took the official name of Peacemaker, the third one to carry that name. Although he really wishes to quit his Peacemaker career and resume his activities as a doctor, his superiors in the Project have not yet let him do that, reasoning that his humanity makes him invaluable as a Peacemaker.
