HISTORY

One-Eye was a notably intelligent hawk, and the leader of the birds of the secluded Hawk Valley. He saved the unconscious Hawkman (I) from gangsters in 1941, after which the hero learned to communicate with birds. The birds of the Valley joined Hawkman in a raid on the gangsters, and One-Eye was killed in the ensuing battle. The other birds then elected Hawkman as their new chieftain.
