HISTORY

Nebulen was the a battlefield in the 896 year H'Gris-Malanite War or Great War between the opposing factions. The war had been fought so long, neither side could remember the reason for their fighting, with no advancement seen over the centuries. It was in this setting that the modern day hero known as Hawkman lived out numerous lives,

Year 498 of the H'Gris-Malanite War

In the 498th year of the war, C'Tarr Holl of the H'Gris was a Grounder, a soldier fighting in trenches of the frontline. In the 517th year he was Kettar, serving with the Malanites in the same function as a "Booter." Upon his death, he would return again as H'gris in the 541st year, until that next death returning as Malanite in the 583rd year. Years 635, 679, 723, 768, 809, and 848 saw the cycle continue unchanged until year 896 when, as a H'Gris, he emerged from the trenches to offer his food to the Malanites. The first, Sherra, accepted the offer and from there both sides ended generations of war. They never returned to their homeworlds, and restored peace to Nebulen.
