OVERVIEW
The toughest private dick of the 1930s. A World War I veteran, Nathaniel Dusk saw action in the trenches. Upon returning to the States, he joined the New York Police Department, but quit as a cop when he could not stand the corruption. In 1931, he went solo and rented an office in the East 80s with a sign on the glass door saying "Nathaniel Dusk – Private Investigator". Nathaniel Dusk is virtually an icon for the hardboiled detective in the tradition of Dashiell Hammett and Mickey Spillane, right down to the obligatory trenchcoat, the beautiful femme fatales, the bottle of whisky in his desk drawer, and the cynical monosyllabic sentences.
