HISTORY
Thousands of years ago in the otherdimensional world of Myrra, Nacht was a mighty warrior and wielder of the Sword of Night. Nacht protected the kingdom of Myrra from a rival warrior named Brom and the magician Farben, but was magically transported to Earth by Farben. Using his family name of Roke, he adapted to the strange new world of 10th Century Earth. In 1969, one of Nacht's descendants, the rock singer Jim Rook was transported to Myrra, where he claimed his ancestor's legacy and the Sword of Night to become the hero known as Nightmaster.
[It has been suggested that the world of Myrra is actually one of Rook’s drug-induced hallucinations coming alive. Those statements should probably be regarded as apocryphal.]
