HISTORY

Mackenzie Bock earned the nickname Hardback due to his insatiable reading habit. He was until recently the head of the organised crime unit of the Gotham City Police Department and is an extremely capable police officer, although somewhat wary of the vigilante heroes like Batman. Since the retirement of Commissioner James Gordon, Bock has received a promotion to chief of police.
