HISTORY
Created by the Ministry of Self-Reliance's Academy of the Lantern, the Lantern Corps of China were based on the interstellar Green Lantern Corps. The exact extent of the Lantern Corps' powers has not been established, though they have been observed using emerald energy for flight and the creation of solid light constructs. Unlike other Lantern Corps, China's Lanterns utilize what may be a gem in the face plates of their uniforms to create objects. At this time it is yet unknown if the Academy of the Lantern has Lanterns utilizing other colors of the spectrum, or indeed if the green energy observed is tapped from the emotional spectrum or is the color green by design or coincidence.
The Lantern Corps of China were put into active duty due to concerns regarding the increasingly freelance Justice League of China. At this time the membership is comprised of at least seven members, three females and four males.
