OVERVIEW
Adventurous young debutante Valerie Vaughn asked her father what she should do with her life now. Her father told her to try holding down a job. Ready to prove to her father that she could, she went to a local newspaper, The City Press (who has ran human interests stories on her in earlier months calling her 'Lady Danger') and announced to the editor, Mr. Sparkes, that she will be writing for his newspaper – he responded by throwing her out of his office and telling her to come back with a story. Valerie asked for help from Gary Grath, a (somewhat incompetent) private investigator who she aided finding a robber from her father's factory. Together, the two found a kidnapped banker and captured the crooks. Valerie used the story to gain employment at The City Press and began adventuring as Lady Danger.
