HISTORY
A champion on his homeworld of Xanthu in the 30th century, Jame Cullen was drafted to become his planet's representative in the newly formed Legion of Super-Heroes. Code named Kid Quantum because of the stasis belt which gave him his powers. A proud loner and an egocentric, Kid Quantum became the Legion's first casuality when his belt malfunctioned and he was impaled by the beast called Tangleweb. This event prompted the Legionnaires to refuse membership to candidates that gained their powers from the use of artificial devices. Later the mantle of Kid Quantum was carried on by his sister Jazmin.
