HISTORY

Jan is a Green Lantern in the year 2447. She had been put on probation following an unspecified incident in which, according to Jan, she "lost her temper." Jan was assigned with fellow Lantern Kar-Von to investigate a beacon in the Ethow Sector.

They found a group of unidentified aliens performing a ritual, apparently sacrificing members of a different species. The ritual opened a gateway to an unidentified realm from which a monstrous creature emerged. Both Lanterns struggled to push the beast back, bult ultimately Kar-Von had to sacrifice his life so that Jan could seal off the gateway.

Having survived the destruction of the beacon, Jan sought to warn the Corps and vowed that Kor-Van's death would not be in vain.
