Comment(s):
- This is the first installment of a new feature telling stories of the New Gods from before Orion first came to Earth. The feature was dubbed "Tales of the New Gods" in issue #3, probably in homage of Jack Kirby's back-up feature in Marvel's Thor, "Tales From Asgard". This story is the first part of a four-part story telling the origin of Darkseid.
