HISTORY

A Manhunter transport found by Green Lantern Hal Jordan in a junkyard on Oa, the spaceship to be renamed the Interceptor was rebuilt and reprogrammed by Lantern Stel. Jordan had the ship brought to a planet in Space Sector 2000 nicknamed "The Green House" which was used as a safehouse should an overwhelming threat befall the Green Lantern Corps.

A year later, the need arose in the form of Krona. The renegade Guardian had seized control of Corps itself. Lanterns Jordan and Guy Gardner could not risk using their power rings and had to rely on the Interceptor to take them to Oa.

The Interceptor came under fire, first by the mind-controlled Kilowog then others of the Green Lantern Corps. Rocked by multiple explosions and hull breaches, Jordan and Gardner were forced to abandon ship in a life pod. It is presumed the Interceptor was destroyed. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #65

SPECIFICATIONS

Exact specifications are not available, but the Interceptor was claimed to be the "fastest ship in the universe" by Hal Jordan. It had an artificial intelligence, able to recognize officers of the Green Lantern Corps and track their power rings. Two escape pods were part of the design, though if there were more pods, or if the pods were ever part of the original Manhunter design is not known.
