Synopsis: - The Human Defense Corps have invaded hell to get back sixty-six of their own captured in the Corps' first mission and believed dead for over two years. They are guided by a relative of the lord of a demonic clan, who of course wishes to betray them and sell the captives to his enemy Neron, thus setting Neron against the American soldiers. Several of the officers are killed, and Montgomery Kelly finds himself confronting the demon he saw die in the forests of Bulgravia, who throws a knife directly at Kelly's heart.
