HISTORY

Nothing is known about Sharon before she married the Thanagarian spy named Fel Andar who was posing as Carter Hall Junior, the younger son of the Golden Age Hawkman and Hawkwoman. Fel Andar had been assigned to Earth to gather information for his Thanagarian masters before a proposed Invasion of Earth was to take place. He was to claim the identity of Hawkman and find a wife to assume the mantle of Hawkwoman. As Hawkwoman Sharon was quickly accepted in the hero community along with her husband and they soon joined the ranks of the Justice League.

Both Sharon and her husband fought at the side of the Justice League when the actual Invasion took place and it wasn't until the latter days of the Invasion when Sharon overheard a conversation between Andar and the Thanagarian forces, that she learned that he was an alien spy. In order to keep his secret hidden Andar chased Sharon through the Justice League's Australian embassy determined to kill her before she could reveal it to anyone. However, although Andar succeded in mortally wounding her, Sharon managed to escape and get word to the Martian Manhunter before drawing her last breath. Only a few members of the JLI ever learned the truth but they chose to keep quiet to protect the name of Hawkman. [Hawkworld Vol. 2 #23 (May 1992): "Escape from Thanagar"]
