HISTORY

During the final battle in the war against Darkseid, some member of the Green Lantern Corps were assigned to rescue the slave population of Apokolips. The Green Lantern of Sector 796 had been scouring the ruins of Armagetto for survivors. She had let down her guard, concentrating on the search and was attacked by one of the Hunger Dogs.

Stabbed in the back, she died but her killer did not get the power ring as he had intended. The ring flew off to find Barda, for her to become the newest Green Lantern. -Justice League of America: Another Nail #1
