OVERVIEW

A gryphon-like demon who attempted to plague the souls of Superman and Green Lantern Hal Jordan during their brief damnation to Hell. Gintear failed, and in the process, fellow demon Grueflutter's Skyboat was destroyed. Blaming Gintear, Grueflutter captured Gintear and promised him an unbearable existence throughout all eternity. Gintear spoke in sonnets.
