Synopsis: - When a plane and a locomotive accelerate to incredible speeds, the Flash saves the day. A farmer who claims to have seen everything finds his grain seed sprouting powerfully and rapidly as well.
- Gunmen were looking for Jay Garrick, but take Joan Williams as a hostage. The Flash is trapped while trying to resue Joan and the "farmer" reveals he had created a formula which uncontrollably sped up motion. He wanted to seize Garrick's research on slowing down motion to control his speed formula. The "speed-up" formula is then sprayed across the city to draw out Jay Garrick.
- As Garrick is the Flash, after he frees himself he counters the speed-up formula with "slow-down chemical bombs." He is then able to defeat the "farmer" and his two henchmen.
