HISTORY
Energiman was a super-being and member of the Honor Team of Thronn. How he received his powers has not been established. Though the heroes had faced many challenges prior, they were utterly defeated by the alien invader Vant Orl. They were imprisoned on the moon Memal, inert and barely alive.
After an indeterminate amount of time, Energiman felt a high-frequency power surge flood his energy body. He probed the universe and found a being using the same energy wave-length as himself. This being was Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Earth.
Every twenty four hours Green Lantern charged his ring at his power battery, adding power to Energiman, who had linked himself to the energy source. It took over three months for Energiman to gain enough power to implement his plan. Every bit of power Energiman had was sacrificed to pull Green Lantern through his power battery and bring him to Memal. Had Energiman's fellow heroes known of his plan, they would have tried to stop him to spare his life. Energiman explained his actions to the power ring, which in turn told Green Lantern why he was taken across the stars.
The effort took Energiman's life, a cost he was willing to pay to help his fellow heroes. Green Lantern made good on his vow that the sacrifice was not made in vain and was able to free the Honor Team and defeat Vant Orl.[1]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Energiman could change from his physical body to various types of energy. While the most observed type was some type of emerald flame which was attended to Green Lantern's Power Battery, other types resembled lightning and an energy sphere. The abilities of these various forms has not been explored.
