Comment(s):
- Judge Gallows' real name is stated to be Ezekiel Gallows in this story, but has previously been revealed as Quentin Gallows. Whether or not both names are right or his name in this issue is a mistake remains to be seen.
- Sandman appears in flashbacks to the Civil War and around World War I, but since he went on a journey around September 1915 as seen in Sandman: Overture #1-#6 and didn't return until over 70 years later this must take place before that journey.
- Judge Gallows imprisonment seems to take place a few years later based on the fact that the war seems to have begun and the presence of a Stürmpanzerwagen A7V suggests it takes place around 1917.
