Synopsis: - In the harbor of Blüdhaven, a group of people smuggling immigrants discover their cargo dead and rotting, victims of the 'mugre', a supposedly mythical disease. In Gotham, Batman engineers the situation so that Orpheus can take over the street gangs of the Hill, and lead them into more noble, less criminal pursuits. Also in the Hill, several workers from a sanitation plant are found dead, also victims of the mugre. Tarantula, after encountering the sentient cockroaches known collectively as Kafka, arrives at the sanitation plant, where she encounters Batman, working the case from the Gotham end. They are interrupted by the brother of one of the dead men, come with his friends to burn the plant down and end the mugre.
