Synopsis:
During an assignment in Moscow to assassinate a Russian government official, Deathstroke finds himself surrounded by over a dozen armed guards. As the Russian tells him that the odds are "clearly in our favor", Deathstroke simply chuckles and proceeds to take out each guard with only three moves, and then beheads the official.
Slade Wilson is the best mercenary in the world, his only problem being that he is confronted with is people underestimating him because of his age. Wilson reflects upon his origin, where he was given an injection of an experimental drug that grants him enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, and an increased healing factor.
Slade interacts with Christoph, his handler, and a new, young team that Slade is forced to work with on his next job, the Alpha Dawgs. The new target is a man named Jeffrey Bode, a scientist and weapons dealer who is expected to be delivering nuclear secrets to Iran. The team's mission to take him out mid-air on his private plane, destroying his stockpile in the process. The team uses its own plane to catch up to Bode's, and Deathstroke leaps onto the other plane. He discovers that Bode's weapons are biological, Soldiers modified with Clayface DNA. He throws the soldiers out of the plane. Bode reveals that the entire mission was engineered to get Deathstroke onto that plane in order to give him certain items within a suitcase. Deathstroke arms an explosive, and then leaps from the plane moments before it explodes.
All of the Alpha Dogs are killed by Slade at the end of the mission. Slade chastises Christoph for gathering a team of teenagers to work with him. Deathstroke responds that they have a lot of work to do in rebuilding his reputation, and leaves Christoph to clean up the bodies.
