Solicitation:
- Ethan “Elvis” Avery just wanted to serve his country. Instead, he’s been changed into a monster!
- Tasked as the government’s own living, breathing, ticking time bomb, Ethan retains no control when the monster takes over. Cheaper than a nuclear warhead and twice as effective, Ethan fights to rein in the damage he unleashes when the beast inside him springs free for one hour a day. With everyone around him in danger, Ethan struggles to contain the DAMAGE he inflicts on the DC Universe.
Synopsis: - Ethan Avery is strapped in chains while a voice in his head is telling him to loose control. He gives in and changes into Damage and breaks free of the chains. He smashes through the back of a helicopter, the Stork-1 and lands in the middle of Atlanta, Georgia. Major Liggett reports over the radio to Marie Jonas, telling her that Damage is loose. He ignores Jonas' orders and takes a set of armor to fight Damage. He starts the fight winning, but Damage quickly smashes through the armor. Before Damage kills Major Liggett, Ethan's voice gets through to Damage and he runs off, hiding. A few hours later, Marie Jonas is informed by Lieutenant Rowe that the entire crew on the Stork-1 died, except for Major Liggett, who's healing in a hospital. Marie is shown to the corpse of the pilot of the Stork-1, John Nichol. Marie tells him that this was her fault, and Amanda Waller, stepping out of the shadows, agrees. Amanda Waller tells Marie that Task Force XL, the Suicide Squad, is here to find and kill Ethan Avery. It then cuts to Ethan Avery lying in a pile of rubble, saying that he doesn't have to be their monster.
