HISTORY

A Daxamite imprisoned by Tolos in his bottle city of Kandor. Like the other inhabitants of the dimensionally-challenged city, Cil Gand's indestructible Daxamite body served as a vessel for Tolos to fight his battles in yellow sun environments. He died in battle against Superman from lead poisoning but not before he had helped the Man of Steel to banish Tolos in the dimensional rift that exists between Kandor and the outside world. He died in Superman's arms, free at last.

Cil Gand had a brother who had 2 sons, and may be an ancestor of Lar Gand a.k.a. Valor/M'Onel and the brother of Kel Gand who died in the Invasion.
