HISTORY

Ral Benem a.k.a. Chlorophyll Kid was born on the agricultural world of Mardru in the 30th century. As an infant he fell in a vat of experimental super-fertilizer and gained the ability to control the growth of vegetation. After being rejected for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes, Chlorophyll Kid joined Polar Boy to create the Legion of Substitute Heroes where he served for many years. He finally joined the Legion shortly before it was outlawed by Earthgov, then he enrolled in Earth's underground resistance against the Dominators/Earthgov coalition.
