HISTORY

Bryndon was a S.T.A.R. scientist who developed weaponry for the U.S. Army. One of his inventions, a prototype warsuit, was once used by Sgt. Gardner Grayle to battle Agamemno and the Injustice League (I) as the new Shining Knight. Years later, Bryndon and Grayle were part of a top-secret virtual reality experiment, in which Grayle was held in suspended animation and subconsciously experienced a vision of a post-World War III world. However, the realistic picture of a nuclear holocaust was too ghastly for Grayle to cope with, and he subconsciously re-shaped the V.R. world into a world of fantasy. In Grayle's mind, he, Bryndon, and the rest of the project experienced fun adventures as the heroic 'Atomic Knights'. When Grayle's mind started bringing his fantasies into reality, Superman intervened and ended the project. Bryndon has not been seen since.

Grayle later used a new variant of Bryndon's warsuit to become the super-hero known as the Atomic Knight. His fantasy world and its versions of Bryndon and the others have been re-visited on a couple of occasions.
