HISTORY
- Braal-13 is the outermost inhabited world in the Braalian system and in an alternate timeline was a key point in the Braal-Imsk War. Though the Braalian Army had held off the first Imskian attack at Venado Bay, on October 2991 the Damper weapon was unleashed upon the Braalians to devastating effect. It disrupted the magnetic fields of the Braalians causing any range of injuries from loss of their magnetic powers and/or physical dismemberment including spontaneous explosion. In the three minute attack, it has been reported some 5,000 Braalian soldiers were killed and 2,000 wounded. Some twenty Imskians near the site of the Damper were never found. This attack changed the course of the war and within two years, Imsk defeated Braal.
- Rokk Krinn, formerly Cosmic Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes, and his friend Loomis were among those stationed at Venado Bay. While Krinn lost his magnetic powers, Loomis lost one of his arms. Another former Legionnaire, Kent Shakespeare of Earth was serving as a not-combatant medic, and as a human did not sustain injuries from the Damper.
