HISTORY

Also known as Baalzebub, the Lord of Flies, or Ba'al Zebul, Lord of the High House. For millennia, Beelzebub was a prominent arch-duke of Hell until being promoted to ruler during the short time Hell was ruled by a Triumvirate.

When Lucifer abdicated and closed down Hell, Beelzebub changed his bug form into a humanoid body, and made a failed attempt to climb back to Heaven and destroy all mankind. Soon after he concluded that evil had become mundane and tried to commit suicide, involving himself in a clash with Kid Eternity in the process. At the time, he was seemingly dying.

Later, however, he returned in a clash involving Buzz, Lilith, and Supergirl. Beelzebub had a vast circle of demons in Hell. Among his ranks were Choronzon, Major Domo, Buzz, and Anton Arcane.
