HISTORY

A former djinn a.k.a. the Abomination. Azazel was one of the members of the Triumvirate that ruled Hell for some time. When the almighty Lucifer abdicated and closed down Hell, Azazel tried to claim it as his. To retrieve the Keys to Hell, Azazel opposed Dream, the Sandman, in an encounter that proved fatal. Azazel is currently imprisoned among the Sandman's collection of artifacts in the Dreaming.
