HISTORY
Decades ago, Atlanna was the Queen of the Atlantean city-state of Poseidonis and was the wife of King Trevis in a childless marriage. In a dream, she was visited and seduced by the ages-old Atlantean sorcerer Atlan, who fathered a child with Atlanna, a child who was condemned to death for having blond hair. However, the infant survived and returned to Atlantis years later as Aquaman. Atlanna and Trevis were killed when Poseidonis was taken over by the religious zealots known as the Shalaktites. More recently, she was resurrected as a mermaid creature.
[Note: Pre-Crisis, Atlanna was the wife of lighthouse keeper Tom Curry. That is no longer canonical.]
