HISTORY

A former girlfriend of Tim Drake – a.k.a. Robin III.

Ariana is the daughter of a former Soviet patriot who had relocated to Little Odessa, Gotham City's russian neighborhood, where he had set up a printing shop named "Dzerchenko Custom Printing". When the Russian mob tried pressuring him into working for them he resisted and was beat up. Tim Drake happened to be in the neighborhood but before he could intervene the fight was over. He then helped Ariana getting her father into the store. When Drake returned as Robin later that evening to watch over the Dzerchenko's the mob returned, this time in the company of the KGBeast. While Robin fought the KGBeast, the others grabbed Ariana and her father came storming out the store with a rifle in his hand to stop them but was in turn killed by the KGBeast. The mob managed to escape with Ariana, but Robin later found and freed her. - Robin III: Cry of the Huntress #1-#6

Ariana was taken in by Vari and Natty Dzerchenko, her uncle and aunt who owned Dzerchenko Quality Meats. Ariana and Tim stayed in touch and quickly became close friends and she soon became Tim's first serious girlfriend. When Ariana started attending the same school as Tim the relationship went through a number of ups and downs. After she was relocated to another school the relationship cooled and de-volved into a normal friendship again.
