Synopsis: - After seeing Vixen to the plane home, Buddy runs into Mike Maxwell a.k.a. B'wana Beast. Maxwell has decided to give up his Beast identity, and Buddy accompanies him to Kilimanjaro to find his successor. The chosen is one Dominic Mndawe, a resistance fighter in Apartheid South Africa. After freeing Dominic from prison, Maxwell and Animal Man help him avoid a massacre on black people. After taking the ultimate revenge on his nemesis, Police Commissioner Van De Voort, Dominic becomes the new guardian of Africa – the Freedom Beast.
