- Issues #61 through #67 of this title are mostly retelling of origins of the major players in All-Star Squadron. This is a retelling of the origin of The Tarantula with new details, told for John Law's book on the Mystery Men of World War II.
- This issue also contains a publishing history of The Tarantula and a 1 pg pin-up of Hawkman by Edward Barretto.
- Due to the effects of the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Dian Belmont did not die as shown in the flashback in this issue, and her chronology is changed to reflect this.
- Titles of other John Law books are Web of Hate, The Dozen Masterminds, and Crime and Crime Again. He also later writes The Perfect Crime.
Solicitation:
- Jonathan Law decides to become a costumed crime-fighter and battles Ace-Deuce.
