OVERVIEW

Alfred Pennyworth has served as butler and confidant to Bruce Wayne since Wayne's childhood. Pennyworth helped raise Bruce Wayne after the death of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne at the hands of Joe Chill. Today, Pennyworth aids in the war on crime fought by Wayne as Batman, maintaining the underground headquarters known as the Batcave in addition to running the day-to-day operations of Wayne Manor.
