Synopsis: - Lois Lane arrives in Umec and is partnered with Beau Wright from the Keystone Gazette. They will be embedded with a unit known as the 'Death Knights' during the conflict. Meanwhile, Xlim, Replikon's son, arrives in Metropolis, clearly under someone else's control. Superman tries to help him, but can't, as Xlim hits him with something that completely negates his powers for a few seconds. He also has to come to an understanding with Lt. Leocadio of the SCU, who wants to make it clear that she is in command in Metropolis, not him. And in Umec, Lois and Beau discover that their unit is far from the front, and unlikely to generate any headlines - they are furious with the Major who gave them this assignment.
