OVERVIEW

An accidental derivative of the steroid-like Venom drug, A39 was stolen from a government lab and manufactured by the Terrible Trio via Preada Industries in Portsmouth City. When Doctor Pieter Cross got involved in the campaign against A39, the villains arranged for him to be given a sample of the drug. It kicked in while Cross was driving home, making him lose his eyesight and crash his car. Waking up from the accident, Cross realized that he was permanently blind, but that he could now see in the infrared spectrum. Using his new abilities, Cross became the second Dr. Mid-Nite and shut down the Terrible Trio's drug business permanently.
